Climate Change Scotland Projects

TICOS and Climate Change Scotland are developing the following Scottish projects in partnership. Climate Change Scotland contributors generate income from voluntary carbon-saving payments made by tourism and other businesses in Scotland and made by visitors to Scotland during the purchase of travel and tourism products. The income raised is administered by TICOS to fund projects that meet its strict criteria and which have passed its independent validation process.

CCS Project Lifecycle

Essential project criteria are that they will result in measurable carbon savings, have wider sustainable development benefits (e.g. community, education and/or biodiversity benefits, among others) and will contribute to the long term sustainability and visitor experience of the Scottish tourism industry.

Our project lifecycle diagram will help to explain how projects are administered from inception through to completion.

Please visit the Climate Change Scotland website if you are a Scottish travel or tourism business who would like to become involved in Climate Change Scotland and contribute to carbon saving projects in Scotland. New and existing Climate Change Scotland contributors can view the projects listed below and then contact Climate Change Scotland to discuss how they can become involved in funding projects, perhaps including a project of their particular interest.   (Please quote the project ID in all correspondence).

Details of how projects are submitted, assessed and validated can be found on the projects pages of this website. If you would like to submit a project in Scotland for funding please view our application pages and contact us to discuss your proposal. All projects submitted under Climate Change Scotland must be based in Scotland.
