Project Details

The aim of this project is to introduce a hydro-electric power plant to replace the diesel generator that at present powers the light and heat source for the Refuge du Lac Blanc in the Lac Blanc – Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is a beautiful area of the Mont Blanc region, popular with skiers and walkers alike.

The project will replace an old, inefficient and dirty power source with a modern clean hydro system which provides clear carbon emission benefits. Once this scheme is implemented there is a potential to roll it out to other locations.
